Four represent the club with pride at prestigious international event
Blackwell Grange Golf Club is celebrating a landmark moment in its junior golf history, as four of our rising stars represented the club, and the country, at the 2025 Champion of Champions World Championship, held at the stunning Lough Erne Golf Resort in Northern Ireland.
The event brought together over 250 elite junior golfers from more than 40 countries, making it one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments in the world, and Blackwell had four players in the field.
Ethan Jeff – 5th, Boys U19
Leading the charge was Junior Captain Ethan Jeff, who finished a superb 5th in the Boys Under 19 division.
After opening rounds of 75 and 82, Ethan bounced back in spectacular fashion with a final round 68 (-4), jumping nine spots up the leaderboard in one of the standout rounds of the day. A brilliant performance under pressure.
Charles Calvert – T8, Boys U19
Also competing in the U19s, Charles Calvert delivered three consistent rounds of 75, 78 and 76 to secure a Tied 8th place finish – a top-10 result in a fiercely competitive international field.
Louis Brett – 33rd, Boys U19
Louis showed great resilience throughout the tournament. After a tough opening day, he rallied with improving rounds of 96 and 93 to finish 33rd. He did well in a challenging U19 field and gained valuable experience at the highest level of junior competition.
Lilah Underdown – T14, Girls U14
In the Girls Under 14 division, Lilah Underdown showed determination and composure across all three rounds. Posting scores of 91, 90 and 96, she finished Tied 14th and represented Blackwell with pride, confidence and a big smile throughout.
Coached and Supported All the Way
All four players were supported throughout the week by their coach, Aaron Cox of the ACED Academy, who travelled with them and provided guidance on and off the course. Aaron’s support was invaluable to the squad, and their results speak volumes about the quality of his coaching.
A Word from the Chairman
Speaking after the event, Club Chairman Paul Dummett said:
“To have four of our juniors competing at a world championship is a huge achievement for Blackwell Grange. Ethan, Charles, Louis and Lilah were superb ambassadors for the club and their families. Their talent, behaviour and determination made us all proud. This is just the beginning – and we’re all excited to see what comes next.”
Please join us in congratulating Ethan, Charles, Louis, and Lilah for flying the Blackwell flag at the highest level of junior golf. The future is most definitely bright. ??
