NERGA Rabbits and INTERS League at Blackwell Grange Golf Club
Are you ready to represent Blackwell Grange Golf Club in an exciting and competitive league tailored to your handicap? The North East Rabbits Golf Association (NERGA) provides a fantastic opportunity for golfers to compete as individuals and as part of a team while playing on some of the best courses in the region.
Whether you’re a high or mid-handicap golfer, these leagues are perfect for honing your skills, experiencing competitive play, and enjoying the camaraderie of team golf.
Rabbits League – For High Handicappers (15 to 28 Handicap Index)
Since its launch in 2010, NERGA has grown to include 34 clubs divided into four zones, stretching from Hull to Prudhoe and Scarborough to Rudding Park.
In 2024, over 550 players took part to secure their place at the Grand Finals held in October each year. The best individual players from each club will battle it out for the Individual Championships and the top two teams in each zone will compete for the two Team Championships.
If your Handicap Index is between 15 and 28, NERGA Rabbits offers you the chance to play competitively at a variety of fantastic venues.

INTERS League – For Mid-Handicappers (7 to 14.9 Handicap Index)
Launched in 2015, the INTERS League provides a competitive platform for mid-handicap golfers. Twenty nine clubs across four zones will compete for their chance to reach the Finals Day in October. This league bridges the gap for golfers who are ready for serious competition but don’t fall into the high-handicap category.

Format and Competition Details
Both the Rabbits League and INTERS League follow a similar format:
- Team Composition: Each team consists of eight players, with the top seven scores contributing to the team’s total.
- Stableford Scoring: An individual stableford format is used, with team scores determining the club’s position.
- Points System: Clubs are awarded 8 points for 1st place, decreasing to 1 point for last place.
- Finals Day: The top clubs and best individual players from each zone advance to Finals Day, held in October, where they compete for the Club and Individual Championships.
